Hack the Summer!

Step into the fast-paced world of cybersecurity and become a digital defender! Learn from industry pros as you gain real-world insights and hands-on experience in one of today’s hottest tech fields. Using cutting-edge tools, you’ll master the art of identifying, assessing, and stopping cyber threats in their tracks. Build the skills to protect digital spaces and take your first step toward a future in tech!

Program Structure

Pre-Camp

Participants will kick off their journey with a baseline assessment and dive into exciting content and hands-on materials, setting the stage for an unforgettable learning experience! A welcome email will be sent to participants containing links to the activities that must be completed prior to the program’s start.

June 30 - July 18

Camp

Open to youth exiting grades 8-12. Camps will run Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm. Lunch is included. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Week 1: July 21 - July 25

Week 2: July 28 - Aug 1

Post-Camp

Additional learning activities will feature online modules covering advanced cybersecurity topics, as well as monthly meet-up events aimed at building a GenCyber alumni network. Participants may also choose to enroll in courses designed to help them obtain IT and cybersecurity certifications, providing them with a head start in preparing for a future career in tech.

 

Dates to be determined.

Activities include playing the interactive "Cyber Threat Defender" card game, engaging with TryHackMe modules, and exploring computer hardware components firsthand. As one of the fastest-growing industries, cybersecurity offers endless career opportunities, and this camp will provide the foundational knowledge and skills to jumpstart a successful career in this field.
